PT-BR  Gabo vem me encantando cada vez mais com suas histórias, e por isso decidi homenageá-lo com este retrato. Quis trazer para a imagem alguns elementos simbólicos do seu universo: as casas de Macondo e as borboletas amarelas de Cem Anos de Solidão, as cartas e o navio de O Amor nos Tempos do Cólera, as amêndoas e outros detalhes que me fazem lembrar do autor e de sua escrita tão única.

Escolhi uma paleta de tons quentes, dourados e terrosos para evocar a terra quente de Macondo e o realismo mágico presente em Cem Anos de Solidão, uma das suas obras mais marcantes. Também usei verdes que remetem à natureza tropical, além de toques de rosa e lilás para representar o romantismo e a suavidade do Caribe colombiano.

EN Gabo has been enchanting me more and more with his stories, and that’s why I decided to pay tribute to him with this portrait. I wanted to include symbolic elements from his literary universe: the houses of Macondo and the yellow butterflies from One Hundred Years of Solitude, the love letters and the steamboat from Love in the Time of Cholera, the almonds, and other subtle details that remind me of the author and his singular voice.

I chose a warm, earthy, and golden color palette to evoke the heat of Macondo and the magical realism of One Hundred Years of Solitude, one of his most iconic works. I also brought in shades of green to represent the tropical nature of his world, along with soft pinks and lilacs to reflect the romance and tenderness of the Colombian Caribbean.
